I´ve made this statement over and over again. And in case some of you haven´t read it yet on this website, it´s something you need to know.

Be very careful when you buy acai capsules. Be a thousand times more careful when you buy them from companies who have free acai offers. Even the Better Business Bureau is now after these companies. More and more people have reported that they have been scammed out of their money by these free acai offers.

So how exactly does this scam operate?

This acai scam is about taking money from unknowing buyers. What most buyers don´t know is that there is a fine print in every one of these free offers. Once you give them your credit card number for the shipping and handling fees, you are also authorizing them to charge your credit card every month thereafter. For how much? Usually for $90 for a 30 capsule bottle!

And the list of customer complaints doesn´t stop there. Many have reported that when they found out about the devious way these companies operate, they immediately called them to say they didn´t want to purchase acai capsules any more. But guess what? This was very difficult to do. The telephone numbers they were given were sometimes non-existent or if they were correct, customer support doesn´t answer them at all. Some companies even provided the telephone number of a competition!

In my search for the best Acai supplement, I got immediately drawn to the many free offers. All I had to do was pay for shipping which sounded reasonable.

My schemy little head was thinking, “hmmm… maybe I should just get all these free offers for acai supplements. That would give me almost 6 bottles for free! — a whole year supply!”

Despite myself though, I couldn´t help but think that the offer for free supplements was just too good to be true.

So I delved deeper. This wasn´t easy. This involved reading a lot of crap (pardon my french) websites, rehashing the same article over and over again.

All I wanted was to get some information about these companies and the acai supplement that they offer. But I only often ended up in a one-page website which didn´t give me any further information.

So I got curious… and this time, curiosity didn´t kill the cat!

From what I´ve read in various acai supplement reviews, I was right in my suspicions that there was something fishy about these free offers.

What happens is that you are immediately charged about $90 for the succeeding months! Because apparently, there´s a fine print in your order that you should have read!

This is usually just the start of their troubles. There´s been reported incidents of problems with the support phone being busy all the time, to being unable to get their money back because the bottle had already been sent…etc. Etc.

I don´t know if there´s a way around this. Is it possible to get the free offer and not be charged the following month?
